LOOKING TO PLAY FRIDAYS WITHOUT THE REP COMMITMENT, COST AND TRAVEL BURDEN?
Then look no further. Hoops247, in conjunction with AAU, is offering a Friday domestic league this Spring/Summer for boys boys born between 2005 and 2007. Games will be played between 5 and 9:30pm and is open to all teams.
Friday Domestic Explained
Ideal for: Those unable to unwilling to play Rep basketball but missing a good, high quality and competitive game. No huge travel commitment and length of season means it fits your life well.
Suits teams: From anywhere. A group of mates (jersey's available), a local club team, school team, academy team. You don't need any insurance, or any OTT structure to play. Just sign up and be part of it.
For You: If you are born 2005, 2006, 2007. It's boys only at this stage, but if there is greater demand, we can expand to different age groups and include a girls comp.
Game Schedule: Games run from 5pm finishing 9:30pm in 45 minute slots. All normal AAU rules apply such as the ELAM ending for ties, calling timeouts in possession. Come and experience the fun of the AAU format.
Perfect for guys: That aren't playing rep anymore, for whatever reason, or never could play rep but love the game and want to play more. This will be like rep-lite, but still very competitive.
Games Filmed: All games will be filmed and available for download (for a small additional fee). Watch your games, make a highlight film, share with family, use it for your development, post on social media.
Injury Insurance: All players will have sports injury insurance coverage through their annual AAU Membership. This covers training for and travelling to AAU events, including the Friday Night Domestic comp.
Trophies and Awards: There won't be a ring, but the winning team will get a trophy, and the grand final teams will receive medals. You'll also go on the Hoops247/AAU Wall of Fame.
Affordable Elite Competition: Team Signup cost is $120 per team, and team sheets cost $80 per game. That's comparable to other local domestic weekend or weeknight comps and 1/3rd the cost of Rep team sheets. And you don't have to drive all over the city!!
